Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. Red cloth with paper pastedown front and rear panels: black-and-white photograph montages depicting Hagerstown, Maryland in 1855. With 64 pages. No date; circa 1935. Contents reprinted from "The Atlantic Monthly", 1931-1932. The author was one of six children of Maryland Governor William Thomas Hamilton and Clara Jenness (the daughter of Richard Jenness (1802-1872), Portsmouth, New Hampshire businessman, banker, and politician. This is a short history and memoir of the author's life in Hagerstown. Moderate scuffing and soil to pastedown illustration; tiny portion of lower corner alongside spine chipped away. Small (1/4") hole to upper rear spine near gutter. Irregular light vertical crease to inside front cover and rear pastedown, possibly due to careless storage. Interior clean and intact.
