About the Author:
Pauls Toutonghi was born in 1976 in Seattle to a mixed Latvian and Egyptian family. His earliest memories involve being confused by a babble of languages.
Review:
His work has appeared in numerous periodicals, including the Boston Review, Glimmer Train, the Pittsburgh Quarterly, and Book Magazine. He was the winner of the Zoetrope: All-Story First Annual Short Fiction Competition. He has been awarded a Fulbright Grant for study in Latvia in 1999, as well as a 2001 Pushcart Prize.
In 2002, Pauls received an honorable mention in the Associated Writing Programs Intro Journals Project. He received his MFA from Cornell University.
Pauls lives in upstate New York with his wife, Whitney, and their St. Bernard.
