The Dedalus Book of Estonian Literature offers a wide-ranging selection of fiction from the end of the nineteenth century until the present day, including work by Estonia's classic and most important contemporary authors. About the Author:
Jan Kaus was born in Estonia in 1971. He is a novelist, essayist, scriptwriter, critic, poet and translator from Finnish into Estonian. He has published eight books, including the novels The World and a Few (2001), You (2006), A Moment (2009), which have been translated into six languages. He has been the chairman of the Estonian Writers' Union (2004-2007) and is currently the literary editor of the cultural weekly Sirp.
Eric Dickens (born 1953) is a literary translator who takes an interest in the literature some of the smaller countries of Europe. These include that of the Estonians, the Finland-Swedes, the speakers of Nynorsk in Norway, and the Flemings. Eric is from an Anglo-Dutch family. He grew up in England and went to the University of East Anglia, where he studied Swedish and European Literature. He is now lives in Sweden.
