Virginia: An Alphabetical Journey Through History - Hardcover

Betty Bruce Shepard was born in Richmond and raised in Buckingham County, the geographic center of Virginia. She grew up with a love for the Commonwealth and its history, receiving degree from Mary Washington College and The College of William & Mary. A teacher, librarian, and author of numerous teachers' guides, Betty is married and has two grown children. Illustrator Marsha Lederman, a transplanted Northerner, moved to Virginia after receiving a B.F.A. from Rhode Island School of Design, and established herself as a versatile and highly regarded illustrator and designer. Active involvement in the school experiences of her son and daughter, she developed a deep appreciation of Virginia history. Peter and Cheryl Barnes are Virginia residents and authors of 15 educational books for children.
