From the Author:
I wrote this book while thinking about my childhood. My brother and I used to love running our own stores. We went far beyond simple lemonade stands! We even had a neighborhood casino (just candy was exchanged) and a kids-only auction for five-and-dime favorites like Yes-and-No books. We also had a very complicated relationship--sometimes we were best friends and playmates. Sometimes we fought and wanted our own space. These sibling themes and imagination play large roles in "The Monstore." I hope you and your favorite child enjoy it!

Tara Lazar wished there was a Monstore when she was a kid so she could've spooked her pesky little brother. Her mischievous imagination led her to write picture books.
