From the Author:
A Q&A with Ann Muller, author of Signals from the Soul
Why did you write this book?
Everyone I know is in some degree of physical or emotional pain. I had a chance to do this soul work and it changed my life profoundly. I shed negative beliefs and programs--some of them I didn't even know I had--and was able to reclaim the power I had given away. It's glorious living without all the muck. I knew I had to share.
What is a signal from the soul?
Most often it's some kind of dysfunction. I think it's safe to say it's usually what we want to get rid of in our lives. Our soul is alerting us there is something we need to address.
What are some examples of signals?
Illness and disease are physical signals. Addiction is a signal. There can be physical causes but the origin is always a thought somewhere in our past that is causing imbalance and disharmony. Anxiety, fear, and depression are examples of emotional signals. Whatever it is, it's signaling us something has been left undone.
How do you find the origin?
Your subconscious knows. It holds all your memories, beliefs, and emotional programs. Sometimes you can find it yourself. Sometimes you need the help of a therapist who uses hypnosis for regression.
What is the difference between hypnosis and hypnotherapy?
Hypnosis is getting a message to the subconscious mind. But if the subconscious blocks that message, then therapy is needed to release the block or alter the old program.
What is regression therapy?
Regression therapy is a method of returning to the events where negative thoughts or beliefs were formed and replacing them with positive ones at the level where they were created.
Is past life therapy and regression therapy the same thing?
Past life therapy is regression therapy where the origin of something is in a past life. In regression therapy you also work with your inner ages in this life. We form most of our beliefs, or programs, when we are children.
Why is the book the actual dialogues of your regressions?
I could have written it in narrative. But the question I'm most often asked is, "What did those personalities say? What did your therapist say to them to help them heal?" I also share the dialogues as a model for anyone who chooses to do this work, and to show that healing your past isn't scary or traumatic. It's exhilarating and empowering.
Are there differences between regression therapy and just talking out issues with a psychologist?
Yes, you are using a different part of the mind. Our thoughts and beliefs are stored in the subconscious mind. If you want true and lasting results, go to where they live.
You feel regression therapy worked for you. Then why does it often have a bad reputation?
The results don't last. In my experience the way to get lasting results is to alter the thought that created the belief that is causing havoc. Just going to the experience isn't enough. Those traumatized inner ages need to express what they're feeling and then be shown their power to change the outcome of the trauma. When this isn't done the results are usually only temporary.
You write that everything makes sense now, what do you mean by that?
Now I see everything--everything--as a signal of something to learn. Nothing in our lives is arbitrary; it's all part of our soul's journey to raise our awareness and understanding. I look for the lesson in everything that happens in my life. With this perspective everything makes sense.
Do you see this as a self-help book?
What better self-help or personal growth than to understand why things are happening so you can change what you want to change? There are shelves and shelves of self-help books that tell you what to do on a conscious mind level. But sometimes those methods don't work because what you're trying to change is resisting. It's resisting because it is a signal of an unlearned soul lesson. The quickest and easiest way to deal with it is to find someone to help you find the lesson and learn it. Guidelines for finding such a person are in my book and on my website.

From the Back Cover:
HAVE YOU EVER ASKED YOURSELF, "WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME?"
In Signals from the Soul Ann Muller shares her discovery: What she thinks is 'wrong' in her life turns out to be soul signals from unresolved moments in her past. Returning to those past events through altered state regression, she is able to complete what was left undone, which transforms her life.
In the process, she discovers answers to some of life's most mystifying questions:
What is blocking my ability to heal?
What is keeping me from manifesting the life I want?
While the details of Muller's soul signals are specific to her, the principles they reveal apply to everyone. When we look at what's happening in our lives as signals from our soul, everything starts to make sense.
