Regina Shupe, RN, MSN, CEN
With more than 25 years experience in emergency, trauma, critical care clinical nursing and nursing leadership, Regina serves as an ED expert coach in the emergency department service line for Studer Group. She currently coaches emergency departments in large academic medical centers, community, and rural hospitals, as well as more than 1,200 ED physicians in over 400 emergency departments via National EmCare.
Dan Smith, MD, FACEP
In addition to serving as an international coach and speaker for Studer Group's emergency department service line, Dan Smith, MD has also practiced emergency medicine for 15 years in the emergency departments of Baptist Health System, San Antonio, TX as an independent contractor with Emergency Physicians' Affiliates (EPA).
He has served as director of EPA's patient experience team since 2007, quadrupling the group's patient satisfaction through leadership, analysis, intervention, and training of 60 plus ED physicians and mid-level providers, while maintaining his personal overall physician satisfaction at the 98th percentile in one large national patient satisfaction database for the last 20 consecutive quarters.
