Review:
In their new book, Advance Your Emergency Department: Leading in a New Era, the authors argue persuasively that a patient's experience in the Emergency Department is critical to a hospital's overall performance, and they delineate the key principles required to create and sustain a high-functioning ED in today's challenging healthcare environment. The book's chapters are chock-full of specific, evidence-based tools and tactics for improving operational efficiency, communication, collaboration, and accountability - all conveyed in readily accessible prose, with plenty of real-world examples.
