About the Author:
Robert Lytle, a pharmacist and drugstore owner for over 40 years, took up writing young adult fiction as a hobby only fifteen years ago. Since then, he has had eight books published. The five Mackinac Passage stories loosely describe his childhood summers in Michigan s upper peninsula. Two others depict early Michigan life as witnessed through the eyes of young, modern-day time travelers. A Saginaw, Michigan native, Bob summered in upper Michigan s resort community of the Les Cheneaux Islands. He then worked at various jobs on Mackinac Island while studying pharmacy at Ferris State. After graduation, Bob and his wife raised their four sons in Rochester where they bought and renovated a hundred-year-old pharmacy on Main Street. It was while researching the history of that building that he became interested in Michigan s past. What he learned prompted him to write three time-travel adventures, Three Rivers Crossing, A Pitch In Time, both of which are being used extensively in Michigan Schools, and now Mr. Blair s Labyrinth. Still active in his pharmacy, Bob enjoys breaking away to visit schools. His presentations range from reading poems to second-grade classes to sharing publishing secrets with college-age English majors.
Review:
A note from a book club friend in Las Vegas, nice surprise!
"Everyone enjoyed the book very much. In fact one of the girl's gave her book to her grandson and is planning to get more of your "back in time" books for him. My daughter-in-law read the book and made up some questions for the meeting. There are several Michigan girl's in my club, so they really enjoyed it."
