Richard Lipman, M.D., has successfully treated overweight and obese patients for the last 20 years. He is the best-kept weight-loss secret to Miami s rich and beautiful. His credo has always been Diets don t work! Dr. Lipman believes that the flood of diet literature and reality shows about fun and easy weight loss are misleading, leaving still-overweight people looking lazy and weak. The diet industry and media encourage people to feel bad about their body size and then play to their unrealistic hopes to lose weight easily. In The 100-Calorie Secret, Lipman shows that very few warnings and urgings about what we eat are true good or bad. There are an absurd number of myths about what you should or should not eat. Lipman reveals some astounding facts about diet and exercise. Does eating late at night make you fat? Are olive oils and nuts good for you? Does drinking lots of water help you lose weight? What about all these healthy foods like brown rice and whole grain breads? According to Lipman, America is just breaking free from a decade of low-fat and low-carb diet obsessions that have not changed a thing. Although Americans spend billions on a vast diet industry, most people who do lose weight regain between one-third and two-thirds within the first year. Constant diet failure leaves overweight people with overwhelming feelings of frustration. Dr. Lipman dares to call the minority who are thin and do not struggle with their weight lucky. According to him, Skinny people are simply born that way! Lipman cautions not to confuse skinny people s lifestyle with real weight loss advice. Imitating their food habits won t help anybody who is overweight. Lipman is also concerned about all the free weight-loss advice from unqualified sources. Every TV guide, magazine, or newspaper today promotes some lose weight quick and easy gimmick. In his new book The 100-Calorie Secret, Lipman reveals some astounding facts about diet and exercise and delivers a sure-fire, tailor-made method for how you can lose weight and keep it off. Lipman shares for the first time his most effective secrets to successfully manage your weight without having to go on a diet or engage in exercise programs. His method is easy to remember and fully sustainable, since it doesn t involve deprivation or having to eat or drink things you don t like. You will discover secrets to which foods will make you feel full and prevent hunger. Lipman s method is surprisingly simple and can be administered without having to measure anything, prepare special meals, or shop for special ingredients. This book does not contain one single recipe. Lipman s method fits right into our everyday environments and deals with the reality of Americans lives today, including issues like eating out, fast food, and eating and snacking on-the-go. The 100-Calorie Secret is a must-read for anybody who wants to lose weight without suffering, having to exercise, or be on a diet that will make them gain the weight back the day they stop that diet.
