About the Author:
Betty Phillips Tunick has a B.A. in Child Development with a specialization in Child Mental Health from California State University at Northridge. She is currently developing programs which encourage healthy mental and emotional development through individual and group experiences with the environment in natural settings. Ms. Tunick believes that experiences with nature can have important healing effects on the emotional wounds that children today suffer.
Review:
Richard Cohen has a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from UCLA and is Director of the Pacific Oaks Research Center in Pasadena, California. He has spend many years in the classroom with three- and four-year-old children, and several years teaching teachers. In his role at the Research Center, Dr. Cohen develops programs which help teachers of young children enhance their teaching ability and professional development. This book is the fruition of one of those programs.
