From Library Journal:
In the fine tradition of Hugh Johnson's World Atlas of Wine (S. & S., 1985) and Johnson and Duijker's Wine Atlas of France (S. & S., 1986), this useful guide provides a beautiful introduction to a major wine-producing country. Organized by area, it gives appropriate detail and coverage to the most important regions. Brief, well-written reviews of Spain's geography, climate, and history in addition to traveling ideas round out thorough discussions of the vineyards and wines. The scale on some maps is too large for practical use, but most data are current, and helpful sections on such topics as top quality producers are included. Libraries having a recent title on Spanish wines will find this to be a most attractive, useful supplemental volume. If the collection needs a beautiful Spanish travel or wine book, this rates serious consideration.
