Review:
The numerous books on faux finishing indicate that it's one of the hottest decorating trends. The high-quality photos and attractive design of this book make it one of the standouts in a crowded field. Each double-page spread is devoted to a different technique (e.g., ragging, marbling, antiquing), with concise instructions accompanied by clear step-by-step photos, as well as a picture of a completed object employing the demonstrated technique. Projects are rated easy, moderate, or challenging, and the overall presentation is good enough that even a novice should be able to tackle most of the projects.
