Peterson has developed book lists divided into 20 categories?ranging from "classics" to "Jesus" to "North American Spirituality"?which contain from ten to 16 titles. As he claims, his lists are indeed a starting point for those interested in delving into spiritual reading. The annotations are clear and provide explanations for the significance of the book as spiritual reading. Peterson would have rendered an even greater service if he had provided full bibliographic data for each book as well as an indication of whether or not the book is still in print. Overall, this is a rich resource for pastors and general readers.
