About the Author:
Anna L. Dallapiccola is Honorary Professor at the University of Edinburgh and Visiting Professor at De Montfort University, Leicester. She is the author of a Dictionary of Hindu Lore and Legend (Thames & Hudson, 2002) and Hindu Myths (BMP 2003). She travels widely in India, giving lectures and leading tours.
