Monkey Blue - Hardcover

Laura Quinn is a new up and coming children's book creator and Author who is becoming extremely popular and sought after in the world of children's books. Monkey Blue and Friends is the first book released of the monkey blue brand with the second book due to follow in April 2018 Laura also has a few other collections and What on Earth is under my bed was released in Halloween 2017. After the birth of her first son Laura created the Monkey Blue Brand and the Popular children's books became a huge hit, Laura Currently works from home running her own publishing press. Laura always had a passion for writing and submitted work to the Making Magic Happen Academy and was delighted when she was offered a place in the MMH academy. It is for new and aspiring Authors and teaches them the journey to self publication and guides them right up to receiving the first proof copy. Laura was welcomed in to the academy on 13th of June 2017 and it wasn't long before her books were produced and retailed find its way to some major book stores.

I love this book already and its only going to print! I read it to my nearly six year old daughter, and the review from her was, "I love that story Mammy". Result.Monkey Blue is a charming beautiful book with amazing illustrations by Kevin McHugh. It is a book about friendship and the lovely relationship between Mum and Little Monkey Blue.
Monkey Blue has many friends and we meet each of them along the way. From a little caterpillar called Millie Pillar to a funny Giraffe called Geoffrey.
Monkey Blue and Friends is a funny and adventurous journey to the market to buy breakfast for a very hungry monkey.
This will be a book read again and again by many children. They will love the story and each of the well animated cute characters.
This book is a beautiful children's story about friendship and how a simple short journey to the market can end up being such an adventure.

Monkey Blue follows a cute little monkey who ventures to the supermarket with his Mum to get some food for breakfast. They meet a variety of friends along the way;
Millie Pillar, Eli Eagle, Geoffrey Giraffe and Duke the dog all join Monkey Blue and his Mum on their trip to the shop and prove to be very useful.
What's to like:

• Very well written - love the rhyming
• Beautiful illustrations with bright vibrant colours - works very well at engaging children
• Lovely story - heart warming and sweet

What's not to like:

• That we have to wait for the next book in the series

Did you like this book?
Yes. I love Monkey Blue. He has a lovely name. (She loves colours so the name was a big hit!)
What was your favourite part?
"When they helped Millie get her porridge because she was too small. That was very nice of them." (Awh, bless!)
And what happened in the end?
"They all had breakfast together because they're all best friends."

Conclusion:
Monkey Blue deals with complex concepts such as friendship, diversity and inclusion in a wonderfully simple yet effective way for children.
I would highly recommend it as an addition to your children's library and I can't wait to see more from Laura Quinn.
The next in the series Grandma's Special Pie will be released later this year followed by My Baby Sister early next year and we can't wait to read them.

Worth a purchase!Excellent book which is loved by my kids!
Only thing that keeps them calm at bedtime!
Beautiful illustrations, well written with some underlying morals and important messages cleverly included (breakfast/walking/exercise/friends)
Would definitely recommend
