From the Author:
Hello,  I had the time of my life writing this book.  It came about after my many trips to Peru and my amazement with the stories that were told to me by local people in all areas from the north to the south of Peru.  I knew there was story here after hearing about the Incan culture before the Spanish invasion.  These people were aware of the conflicts that come from outside the tribes and also conflicts that come from within the tribes.  Conflicts that can destroy a civilization and are repeated over and over again.  It seemed to me that humans are programmed to self-destruct and do not learn from historical events.
I wanted to capture the effects of mass conflicts in a human sense: the grief, sorrow, grasping small pieces of happiness in bad situations and moving on to new beginnings.  I think I did that!
From the Back Cover:
When the world suffers a man-made catastrophe that threatens to destroy humanity forever, a group of surviviors set to sail to escape certain death.the currents of the ocean deliver them into a tunnel sysytem beneath a great southern land.  Living there until it is safe to re-emerge, they cultivate a new society built on harmony and peace.  But several generations later, their existance is challenged when outside aggressors put their lives and their culture in jeopardy. Forced to choose, they must either revert to the violence of humans past or perish forever. The question is, which fate will they choose? A spritual odyssey into a future-or is it a past?-that teeters on the brink of the complete annihilation of the human species.
