Presumed first edition. Printed and bound in Great Britain at the University Press, Oxford. ISBN given as 0198131674. Size 11 x 8.5 inches. Bound in dark brown buckram, with crisp copper-stamped lettering to the spine. Unbumped spine head and tail, and with sharp corners. Very clean binding. Text block firmly bound in. With viii and 84 numbered pages. Color frontispiece. With 4 figures, including a map of provinces of China and inset maps of various kiln sites. Also with LXX B&W plates on heavy-duty, semi-glossy stock. An impressively clean interior, with no stampings or underlining observed. Appears very gently read, with the text block still tight and not fanning. The price-clipped pictorial dust jacket is intact but rubbed, and with noticeable scratches to the rear wrapper and a repaired tear at the base of the spine.
